Emission Reduction Technology

Buckley is installing auxiliary power units (APU) on all new fleet tractors. An APU provides climate control, heat and air, battery charging, engine heating and is a source of AC power without running the tractor engine. In addition to the internal comforts provided, the system also provides fuel savings

All trucks are governed at 105kms reducing fuel consumption and emissions

All trucks are equipped with a 3 minute idling automatic shut-off to reduce carbon monoxide/emissions

Fleet replenishment - approximately 30% of our fleet is upgraded to EGR engines producing low emissions. This is continuing until upgrade is complete

All trucks are equipped with GPS systems that monitor driving behaviors/fuel economy
Purchasing light weight, more durable constructed trailers for longer usage spans

All lubricants are properly disposed of
